Brownie

Ingredients

Melted butter: 2/3 Cup / 150g
Cocoa powder: 1/2 Cup / 50g
Baking soda: 1/2 tsp
Water: 1/2 cup
Eggs: 2
Vanilla essence: 1 tsp
Flour: 1 1/3 cup /150g
Castor sugar: 1 cup/ 200g
Sprinkle of Sea Salt
Cashews (or Walnuts): 3 tbsp
Chocolate chips (optional): 3 tbsp

Method

Step 1. In a bowl, mix the cocoa powder, baking soda and pour hot water and mix well

Step 2. Add half the melted butter and whisk

Step 3. Add 2 eggs, whisk till incorporated

Step 4. Add sugar and mix well

Step 5. Add remaining butter, fold in flour, fold in cashew and chocolate chips

Step 6. Pour in a greased tin

Step 7. Bake for 30-40 mins in a preheated oven at 180C
