1 and 1/2 cup All purpose flour
3/4 cup Cocoa Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Baking Powder
3/4 cup Vegetable Oil
1 and 1/2 cup Castor Sugar
1 cup Greek Yoghurt (or curd hung overnight)
1/2 cup Milk


Step 1: Add all purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda in a bowl and mix well.

Step 2: In a separate bowl, add castor sugar, vegetable oil, greek yoghurt (or curd hung overnight) and mix till well combined

Step 3: Add half the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients along with the milk and mix well

Step 4: Add the rest of the ingredients and mix with spatula only until everything is well incorporated (Tip: Don’t beat vigorously, the cake will turn out dense if you over mix)

Step 5: Pour the batter into a 9″ pan lined with parchment paper

Step 6: Bake at 180C for 30-40 minutes.
Tip: Oven temperatures are always indicative. Please check after 25 minutes, it might take more/less time in your oven.

Step 7: Once it’s done, frost the cake with whatever you like – ganache, butter cream, cream cheese
