Chocolate Chip cookies are the classic comfort food. Cookie dough mixed with chunks of chocolate and a hint of sea salt make this our favourite Sunday Baking Recipe!

Ingredients:
180g Butter
135g Brown Sugar
60g Castor Sugar
250g Flour
1tsp Baking Soda
30ml Boiling Water
60g Quick Cooking Oats
200g Chopped Dark Chocolate

 Method:
Step 1: In a bowl, whisk together the butter, castor sugar and brown sugar till well combined

Step 2: Fold in the flour. The dough should now have a grainy texture.

Step 3: Add boiling water to the baking soda and pour into the dough.

Step 4: Add the oats to the batter.

Step 5: Add the chopped dark chocolate and mix well.

Step 6: Rest the dough in the refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes.

Step 7: Make small balls and flatten with your fingertips.

Step 8: Preheat your oven to 165C for 10 minutes and then bake for 10-12 minutes.

Pro-tip: Remove the cookies is to remove them from the oven when they are slightly undercooked and allow them to cool on the baking tray.
